Process and Criteria for Selecting Participants
The selection of twelve participants for the boot camp program will begin with a multi-pronged search for men and women who are able to demonstrate interest, potential and promise in the field of digital journalism, but who might not have had extensive training or experience in a formal setting.
Applications will be screened by a selection committee (comprised of representatives from AWAN and media experts), according to rigorous professional and/or academic criteria.

Candidates who score 70% or higher on the online application will be short-listed and called for a face-to-face interview and writing test. The selection committee's final decisions will be based on evaluations of the online application, test scores and assessment of a candidate's strengths and weaknesses through the interviewing process.
